Thank you for this Doc Rea. How do we access the specific brands that are represented on the scatter chart in the beginning of the video?
19:07 I would think “owner assessment” could really be a double edged sword, when it comes to evaluation a condition.
On one hand, a good owner knows their pet better than anyone else, since they have daily interaction with them.
The other side of the coin might be confirmation bias. If someone pays a large amount for a supplement or medication, they may “want to see” an improvement. The expense of the treatment may color their judgement away from being objective to a more subjective evaluation.
My vet recommends Cosequin daily for my Senior Labrador and Carprofen occasionally as needed for pain.
I give dehydrated whole herring fish and freeze dried whole green lipped mussels and I’m glad I was on the right track with that! I stay away from supplements and just alternate one fish or mussel everyday. Granted.. I’m not treating, it’s just preventative and a great food topper as well. 😊 My male dog is 8yrs and a lab/border collie mix and neutered with puppy energy for reference lol.
